CEO & Founder, elysewalker
Originally from Scarsdale, New York, between soccer and high school classes, Elyse Walker worked on the sales floor of her mother’s shoe store. Elyse did not have immediate love or passion for the fashion industry. She studied mathematics and envisioned herself working on Wall Street someday. While attending Columbia University, her mother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and passed away shortly thereafter. Consequently, she inherited the family shoe business, and the business chose her.
In 1996, Elyse’s husband’s job moved the family to L.A. They settled in Pacific Palisades and enrolled their two young sons in the local school. Living there, she wondered why, in such an affluent community, there were no great retail fashion stores. In 1999, she decided to open a store there and picked a location one block from her kids’ school. In the twenty years since opening, the store has quadrupled in size and is now over 7,000 sf.
In 2016, Elyse opened a second elysewalker location in Lido Marina Village, Newport Beach. The 12,000 sq ft store includes a fine jewelry vault and shop in shops for advanced contemporary, denim, designer, shoes and handbags.
Recognizing the global influence that Los Angeles style has had, and understanding that her clients’ lifestyles warranted a very styled but laid back approach to dressing, in 2018 Elyse launched towne by elysewalker- for men and women. With three California locations (Palisades Village, Newport Beach and the Glen Centre) towne by elysewalker captures casual, California cool. Effortless style dressing with a focus on luxury basics.
Over the years, the brand has excelled in styling, service and assortment, resulting in a loyal client base all over the U.S and abroad.
When she’s not traveling on business or on the sales floor of one of her stores, Elyse can be found at her home in Napa, CA spending time with her husband David, sons Ryan and Kevin, and two dogs.

Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, gorjana
As a teen, Gorjana Reidel immigrated to the United States (Arizona) from the former Yugoslavia by way of Canada. Gorjana attended Arizona State University and earned her degree in Marketing. After graduating, Gorjana found her way to California. Disenchanted with early roles, she got a job working as an assistant manager in the jewelry department for Neiman Marcus. Gorjana realized she had a passion for jewelry design and began working for a small local designer to learn all aspects of the business. The pair ultimately grew out of the apartment and into an artist’s studio in the canyon of Laguna Beach, California.
Today, gorjana has grown into a multi-million-dollar powerhouse and even has Michelle Obama to tout as a customer.
